General Details on all PRG files to be mentioned here.

Fun fact: PRGs are the most iterated file types in all the 7-8 versions released in PDS, from the demo to the Golden releases.

Usage of a PRG file mentioned in the Atari Magazine pg.42&64

It seems to be an executable Program file that is sometimes used alongside a *.RSC, also known as a Resource File, accompanying the relevant *.PRG
