It's not even "someday it'll work reliably", but rather "someday Qt would care enough about tooling not to break it with every single release" which is gonna happen… [looking at estimations] right about never.

can you try disabling the code from the previous two patches and see if it fixes anything? There isn't many ways qt can change its positioning....
