post message that triggers the bot
bot replies
edit message while keeping the trigger word
bot replies again, but to an event that "could not be displayed" (the edit)

since replying to edits is broken in general, as a first step the bot could simply ignore edits.

whenever edits are properly supported, this becomes a bit more difficult.
