The readme says

Boringtun is currently undergoing a restructuring. You should probably not rely on or link to the master branch right now. Instead you should use the crates.io page.

The note was added a bit over a year ago and it looks like there have been release(s) from the repository since. Is it still relevant?

Yes, I've been too busy to get around to finishing this.

No PRs have been merged in 8 months, with a bunch waiting for review. @Noah-Kennedy can you provide any insight / background?

Nord's fork fixed a rekey timeout issue. Would it be better to wait until after restructuring to submit an equivalent PR?
