Description of the new feature / enhancement

The proposed feature aims to enhance the Crop and Lock functionality in PowerToys by adding an option to remove the window's title bar, including the window name and control buttons (minimize, maximize, close). This feature will allow users to have an even more distraction-free and immersive experience when working with applications that require full-screen or near-full-screen focus. The expected behavior is that users can toggle this option on or off within the Crop and Lock settings, and the window will adjust accordingly, displaying only the content area without the title bar.

Scenario when this would be used?

This feature would be particularly useful in scenarios where power users need to maximize their screen real estate for tasks such as coding, graphic design, video editing, or any other activity that benefits from a full-screen view. For instance, when a developer is working on a complex codebase, they might want to remove all distractions to focus solely on the code editor. Similarly, a designer working on a detailed graphic might want to eliminate any UI elements that are not part of their design software. The importance of this feature in a power user's workflow is that it allows for a more streamlined and efficient use of screen space, reducing the cognitive load and potential for distraction.

Supporting information

Evidence supporting the need for such a feature can be found in various user feedback threads and forums where power users express their desire for more control over their window layouts and the ability to customize their workspaces to suit their specific needs. For example, on platforms like Reddit and Stack Overflow, users often discuss the benefits of full-screen applications and the challenges of managing multiple windows. Additionally, research on productivity and focus indicates that reducing visual clutter can significantly improve concentration and workflow efficiency. A relevant tweet by a software developer praising a similar feature in another application could also serve as supporting information, as could blog posts detailing the benefits of a minimalist workspace for productivity.
