Does this issue occur when all extensions are disabled?: Yes

  • VS Code Version: 1.95.3
  • OS Version: 22.04.2 LTS (Jammy Jellyfish)

I'm running vscode in an ubuntu container on an ubuntu linux machine. I suffer from frequent crashes, especially when resizing windows.
The easiest way to reproduce is to have 2 or 3 vscode sessions running, however, it can also occur when a single vscode session is open.
Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Launch the first vscode session, open a project folder, open some files and maximize the window.
  2. Launch the second vscode session, open a project folder, open some files and maximize the window.
  3. Launch the third vscode session, open a project folder, maximize the window and open some files. It should then crash.

I'm running with the --disable-extensions option and also tried the --disable-gpu option.
When running on the machine itself outside the container, I wasn't able to reproduce the issue.

I'm attaching the crash log file to this ticket. I also have the crash dump files, however, before I attach them I will need your confirmation that they do not contain parts of my code.

Thanks,

Meir
