When multiple instances of one application are open (e.g. multiple preview windows viewing PDFs; thumbnail only shows black text on white bg) it can be hard to distinguish between them. Bringing the wanted window to the foreground can require cycling through all different windows until the right one is found.

Showing the window title or the filename after selecting one thumbnail in the switch interface (alt+tab still pressed) might help here.

Great idea; pulling into the next release.

I'd considered this before, but abandoned the idea out of worry that the title would clutter the interface. Did you already have an idea of how it should look?

I've really been wanting this over the last few days. I have a UI design idea that I want to do but is probably ridiculous to implement, so practicality dictates that maybe I should start with anything that works.
