When MFA is enabled on a service, with a timeout on ZEDW, you get the timer icon. When the timer runs out, you get the timer icon and the lock icon on top of each other. After some changing screen (going into service on the client, a specified time or what-not, then icon is then just a lock icon.

This icon should only show one state.

Do you have a screen shot of what you mean? The timer is supposed to indicate that a mfa-required service is or has timed out. It'd be helpful to see what you're seeing.

We also have a new UI right around the corner. Having another critical eye on that for issues like this would be appreciated. You can run both together simultaneously. It's a wholly separate install and can be found at https://github.com/openziti/desktop-edge-ui/releases/tag/3.1.0

Both running side-by-side.

If you're interested in trying it out and providing feedback that would be great.

OK - Set a 30 second time out

Just authenticated

time ticks away

Go back to the main screen (close the identity window that pops up)

After time ticks over, you get this screen:

Go into the identity (pressing the > next to the name), and then close it - no difference.
Even the icon in the taskbar is a little different:
