Common Issues and Solutions

HA Cant find the dongle?

• Try settings the device setting to auto
• Synology? https://github.com/kevinvincent/ha-wyzesense/issues/21

Contact Sensors

• When pairing, sensor should flash 3 times. 5 flashes indicates an issue and may result in pairing without a MAC address (entity created as "binary_sensor.wyzesense_")

Bridge (USB Dongle)

• When first plugged in, the LED indicator should light up yellow
• After starting Home Assistant, when the component initializes, the LED should turn Blue
• If you encounter an error and the component wont load, if the LED is blue, unplug the dongle, re-plug the dongle, and restart Home Assistant

Miscellaneous troubleshooting

• If all else fails, try plugging the bridge into a Wyze Camera and pairing the sensors. If it does not work, it is a hardware issue and you would need to RMA the sensor/bridge with Wyze
