FAQ: Will Seraphis wallet apps read my existing wallet files?

Probably.

It's the plan to provide a seamless upgrade path for wallet files: The new Seraphis capable wallet apps shall be able to read "old" wallet files and do any necessary conversions automatically behind the scenes.

Not offerings such an upgrade path and forcing everybody to restore using their seeds looks unfeasible.

Anyway, to continue to read such wallet files is not much of a technical challenge, but merely a problem of effort: Somebody has to sit down and implement the migration code.
